As one of the first 14 banks in Hong Kong to offer this service, ZA Bank provides an extra shield to your funds as your account’s dedicated guardian! 🛡️
🔒 What is Money Safe?
Money Safe is a fund protection service that prevents funds in bank accounts from being scammed or used without authorisation. Customers can transfer designated HKD savings into an exclusive savings sub-account (Money Safe Pot) in the ZA Bank App, and set this portion of funds as Protected Funds2. 💪🏻

📲 Easy lock via the App: You can easily activate protection in just a few steps via the ZA Bank App;
💰 Flexible amounts: You can deposit any HKD amount into the Money Safe Pot at any time with no minimum limit;
🛡️ Securely locked funds: Protected funds cannot be used for any transactions — withdrawals, transfers or other daily transactions, so your funds are inaccessible to others;
✅ Strict unlock process: To release protection, you must visit the ZA Bank office in person and undergo strict identity verification by bank staff, which takes security to the next level3 !

1. Open the ZA Bank App and tap the 'Deposit' → 2. Find and tap 'Money Safe' → 3. Enter the amount you want to protect, and read the Terms and Conditions. After confirming the deposit, your funds will be instantly locked up! 🔒
💡 Tips: You can check the balance anytime in your Money Safe Pot after creating! Please ensure your savings account has a sufficient balance for other payments and daily needs. 🤗

ZA Bank Limited is a member of the Deposit Protection Scheme in Hong Kong. Eligible deposits taken by this Bank are protected by the Scheme up to a limit of HK$800,000 per depositor.
1. Money Safe service allows the customer to transfer funds from their designated ZA Bank account to a dedicated savings sub-account (the "Money Safe Pot"), designating these funds as protected funds (“Protected Funds”). The Protected Funds will be safeguarded by the Money Safe and cannot be used for any deductions or payments until you successfully release protection. T&C apply.
2. Protected Funds will not be used for any deductions or payment purposes, including but not limited to spending, funds transfer, eDDA, cash withdrawals, currency conversion, remittances, loan/facilities repayment, settling fees and charges, purchase of investment products, purchase of insurance products, and other account withdrawal or payment operations. T&C apply.
3. To release a specified amount of the Protected Funds, you need to select the amount to be released through the ZA Bank App and schedule an appointment to visit the ZA Bank office in person to complete the final confirmation, identity verification and related release procedures. This is a strict security check procedure, so please plan your time and fund usage in advance. If you are overseas or unable to visit the ZA Bank office to release the Money Safe protection for any reason, you will not have access to the deposits protected under Money Safe. ZA Bank shall not be liable for any delays in processing or executing your instructions or requests, or for refusing such instructions or requests. After releasing the Money Safe protection, your funds will no longer be under additional protection and may be accessed immediately.
