【ZA Bank】Summer travel tutorial: 4 ways to spend safely abroad! ⛱️

It looks like the weather’s turning hotter and hotter, which can only mean one thing – it’s time to start planning for your summer holidays! ☀️

 

That’s why this monthly deep dive will be covering features around ZA Card and spending! Make sure to read them all, so you can protect your money and your holiday in advance! 😉

 

💳 Using your ZA Card abroad 💳

 

Planning to use ZA Card for your shopping spree, or to withdraw cash from an ATM in a different country? Before you can do so, you must first complete the following steps below:

 

💡 Step 1: From the ZA Bank App homepage, tap on Account, ZA Card, and then the Travel icon.

💡 Step 2: Tap on the Overseas Travel button on the right.

💡 Step 3: You can now select the options for ATM Withdrawal and Card Spending.

💡 Step 4: Input the country(ies)/region(s) you will be travelling to, and your travel period. Now you’re ready to use your ZA Card abroad!   

 

🔒 Lock your ZA Card 🔒

 

You check your wallet, but your cash and your ZA Card have gone missing! Thankfully, you still have your phone with you, so what are you going to do now?

 

💡 Step 1: From the ZA Bank App homepage, tap on Account, ZA Card, and then the Lock card icon.

💡 Step 2: A message will pop up – please tap Confirm to lock your ZA Card.

 

That’s it! No one else will be able to use your ZA Card – your money is safe with ZA Bank!

 

🔎 ZA Verify 🔎

 

ZA Bank is always on the lookout to protect your payments. But when you’re overseas, a few transactions may be blocked as a security measure! So how do you verify them?

 

💡 Step 1: To verify a transaction, go to the ZA Bank App homepage, tap on Account, ZA Card, and then the ZA Verify icon.

💡 Step 2: You can view your recent transactions under the following status columns: All, Pending, and Completed.

💡 Step 3: Tap on a transaction and select Approve or Decline. Remember to approve within 3 hours after rejection to spend again at the same merchant.

 

💰 Check your Monthly Spending 💰

 

Once you’re on a holiday overseas, there’s so much to see, and eat, and buy, and spend… and suddenly, you’ve spent too much! How can you keep track of your spending? It’s easy:

 

💡 Step 1: From the ZA Bank App homepage, tap on Account, ZA Card, and then the Monthly Spending icon.

💡 Step 2: View a breakdown of your monthly expenses, from groceries to ATM withdrawals!
