Digital self-defense: What to do in the "golden hours" after a scam

In the digital world, you can't rely on luck alone. Beyond staying alert, you need practical digital self-defense skills and an emergency response plan for when a crisis hits.

Daily Security: Lock Your Digital Doors

Data leaks often stem from small habits. Connecting to unsecured public Wi-Fi or scanning random QR codes on the street is like handing over your phone's access rights to strangers.

Smart Tools: ZA Bank’s Protective Shield

We have prepared multiple layers of protection for you. For example, the "Money Safe" (智安存) allows you to lock up your funds, requiring in-person verification to withdraw them—effectively preventing unauthorized online transfers.

Also, remember to activate the overseas transaction function in the ZA Bank App before traveling. Otherwise, transactions from unusual locations may be blocked by our system.

The Golden Hour: Emergency Response After an Incident

If you accidentally click a suspicious link or leak your data, don't panic. Act immediately:

1. Lock Card Immediately: Whether you suspect a data leak or lost your card while traveling, pausing your debit card via the ZA Bank App is the fastest way to cut your losses.

2. Seek Help: Call the ZA Bank Anti-Scam Hotline at 3665 3660 or the Police "Anti-Scam Helpline" at 18222.

3. Keep Evidence: Take screenshots of chat records and transaction details.

Security is a Two-Way Street

We monitor suspicious transactions 24 x 7, but we need your cooperation. Check your transaction records regularly and keep your passwords safe.

As long as we stay one step ahead of the scammers, we can protect your hard-earned money. Save the hotline numbers in your phone now—it is always better to have them and not need them.
